Kruger
A wildlife photographer’s dream
One of Africa’s greatest wildernesses, Kruger National Park spreads across vast savanna, riverine forest and golden grassland teeming with life. This is Big Five country, where dawn game drives bring lions, leopards, elephants and more into extraordinary light. For wildlife photography, few places on earth compare.
The Big Five and beyond
We time our game drives for the golden edges of the day, when animals are active and the light is soft. With expert positioning and patient guidance, you’ll be ready for the moment when it comes.
- Lion, leopard, elephant, rhino & buffalo
- Golden-hour sunrise and sunset drives
- Dramatic waterhole encounters
- Rich birdlife and smaller creatures
- Sweeping savanna landscapes
- Big African skies
Best Seasons
Dry Season
Sparse bush and animals gathering at water make this the prime time for wildlife sightings.
RecommendedEarly Summer
Warming days, dramatic skies and the first rains bringing the bush to life.
Green Season
Lush landscapes, newborn animals and superb birdlife — vivid, verdant and full of colour.
Autumn
Green fading to gold, pleasant temperatures and beautiful, soft light.
Your Experience
You’ll head out early with a photographer who understands wildlife, light and angle — helping you anticipate behaviour and capture it cleanly. Guidance covers long-lens technique, exposure and composition, tailored to your gear and experience.
Back at camp there’s time to review images, talk technique and simply soak in the sounds of the bush — an unforgettable rhythm of early starts and golden light.

Your Itinerary
5 days · small group · paced around the best light.
Arrival & First Game Drive
Arrive at camp, settle in and set out on an afternoon game drive into golden light — your first taste of the bush — before a welcome dinner beneath the stars.
Big Five at Golden Hour
Full days are built around sunrise and late-afternoon drives, when the wildlife is most active. We focus on long-lens technique and reading animal behaviour.
Waterholes & Wildlife Behaviour
Patient sessions at waterholes and riverbeds, anticipating the action, with time for birdlife and the smaller creatures that are easy to overlook.
Golden Hours & Lightroom
Dawn and late-afternoon game drives bookend the day, while the quiet midday heat is given over to a dedicated review and Lightroom session in the lodge’s media room — working your best wildlife frames on the big screen.
Final Sunrise Drive & Farewell
One last dawn drive for that special sighting, then a final image review and a farewell to the wild.
